If you are a hiker, the path to the Vulcano Crater Fossa should not be missed. The round trip takes about 2 hours from the dock area. Once you reach the top of the cone, you will be able to admire the fumarole field on the west side of the crater (Gran Cratere) and, if you can bear the smell and have no breathing problems, you can go to one of the few points on the surface of the earth in where you can see the drops of molten sulfur.

Once you reach the island of Vulcano you will stop for about two hours and thirty minutes. On Vulcano, you can take a bath in the thermal waters in the sulfurous mud area, or go to the suggestive Black Sands and Valle dei Mostri to sunbathe and take a bath in the crystalline sea of the island. Do not miss the opportunity to try the very famous "Pane Cunsatu", a typical island bread stuffed with the best ingredients that come from the Aeolian Islands. For those who love relaxation there are many characteristic bars and clubs for every taste and budget. For the more adventurous, the stop can be dedicated to climbing the crater of the island of Vulcano. In fact, it takes about 40 minutes to go up and 30 to go down. From the top of the crater, the view is one of the most incredible.
