It contains archaeological finds from the excavations in the territory of the Aeolian islands by archaeologists Luigi Bernabò Brea and Madeleine Cavalier.
If you are a hiker, the path to the Vulcano Crater Fossa should not be missed. The round trip takes about 2 hours from the pier area. Once you reach the top of the cone, you will be able to admire the fumarole field on the west side of the crater (Gran Cratere) and, if you can bear the smell and have no breathing problems, you can go to one of the few points on the earth’s surface in where you can see the drops of molten sulfur.

Departure from the port of Milazzo at 07:00 by fast boat to reach the island of Vulcano. (It is necessary to show up for boarding at least 20 minutes before the indicated departure time).
Arrival at the Vulcano port is expected at approximately 07:50. It will stop on the island of Vulcano to allow bathing and autonomous exploration.
The island of Vulcano is known for its volcanic manifestations such as fumaroles and thermal muds and for its characteristic black sand beaches and shallow waters, for an experience dedicated to wellness and relaxation.
While staying on the island, we recommend the Baia delle Sabbie Nere, a characteristic beach formed by volcanic sands, with shallow waters and clear waters, for bathing.
At the Vulcano Thermal Pool, you can enjoy a real wellness treatment thanks to the clayey mud with beneficial properties. To complete the route, we recommend the Baia delle Acque Calde, facing the mud, which constitutes a "natural hydromassage".
For the more adventurous, we recommend the possibility of climbing to the crater of the Volcano, a walk of about 2 hours in nature that will give you a breathtaking view of the island.
2.00 pm departure from the port of Vulcano in a typical Aeolian boat, to make the tour of the island by sea.
The tour of the island will begin by skirting Vulcanello, a small promontory connected to the island of Vulcano through an isthmus following a 16th century eruption, characterized by the presence of "particular figures" created by the lava, which take the name of "Valley of the Monsters ".
During navigation, at the discretion of the captain and weather and sea conditions permitting, it will be possible to make stops to make dives from the boat.
After the boat tour, transfer to the island of Lipari. Arrival at the port of Lipari Marina Corta.
Stop on the island to allow for an independent visit.
While staying on the island, it is advisable to visit the Castle of Lipari, a sixteenth-century building surrounded by walls built during the reign of Charles V. Inside the complex is the "Bernabò Brea" Regional Archaeological Museum which houses finds dating back Neolithic and related to marine archeology.
It is possible to stroll along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, a reference point for shopping on the island, where there are several shops, restaurants and typical bars.
We also point out the Cathedral of San Bartolomeo, the main place of worship of all the Aeolian Islands and the Geophysical Observatory, located in San Benedetto, to admire the view of Vulcano and Vulcanello.
